Dear friends and family,

We have set a wedding date! We are getting married the evening of 29 September 2001 (save the date!) at Barboursville Vineyard, outside of Charlottesville, Virginia.

Unfortunately, we have just discovered that our wedding weekend is an excessively busy time in Charlottesville: on Saturday it is Homecoming (with a game against Duke) and on Sunday Foxfield Races (horse races that occur twice a year). So, hotel rooms are tight and blocks of rooms are even harder to get.

We have included here a list of hotels and inns we recommend. When last checked, these hotels still had plenty of rooms available. And if you don't find something to your liking in this selection, there are even more hotels to be found on-line or through AAA.

We will try to have transportation to and from the wedding available from at least the Ramada Inn and the English Inn (this has not been finalized yet). Otherwise, if you will not have a car, please let us know where you are staying so we can help arrange transportation to and from the wedding. In fact, if you have a car and could take part in a carpooling effort, please let us know so we can arrange transportation for the vehicle-less.

If you need to reach us, feel free to email or call:

We are in Thomas Jefferson country, so there is plenty to see.

Bisous,
Nathalie and Brian

PS There is a very flattering article in The Washington Post about our neighborhood.
